Canada’s Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge appoints Matthew Rolston Assistant Lodge Manager

The celebrated luxury wilderness lodge expands its management staff with esteemed Canadian hospitality manager.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Baillie LodgesClayoquot Wilderness Lodge, nestled in the remote wilderness of Canada’s Vancouver Island, officially announces its recent appointment of Assistant Lodge Manager Matthew Rolston. The Ontario native is excited to continue his career in the hospitality management industry, assisting the lodge in maintaining its stellar customer service, continuing its growth and success, and spearheading new initiatives. With more than a decade of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Rolston brings unparalleled leadership expertise, exceptional guest service, and extensive knowledge of management and hotel operations to the lodge.

Rolston now oversees operations at the luxury lodge property, including onsite amenities like its food and beverage program, spa, rooms, and experiential programming. In his previous role as Director of Lodging and Guest Experience at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, Rolston was responsible for overseeing operations of the front office, reservations, housekeeping, laundry, resort activities, pools, and spa departments. Prior to this, he was the Villa Rooms Manager at the Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community where he led the team to achieving the highest gross room revenue in Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community history. Rolston has achieved many certifications and property management system knowledge including Meastro PMS, Roomkey PMS, Opera PMS, and more.

Matt enjoys the appeal of grand adventures at Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and holds a degree in Hospitality Management – Hotel and Restaurant Management from Ontario’s Niagara College.

Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is currently accepting bookings through till September 2023, and is taking advance bookings for the May-September 2024 season.
