MOSCOW – On October 27, 2013 JSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines will introduce its winter schedule valid till 29 March 2014. During winter season 2013/2014, Aeroflot plans to fly to 53 countries, including 7 CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine). The airline will operate flights to 122 destinations (71 of which are abroad) including 45 destinations in Europe, 13 in Asia, 8 in the USA, 5 in Middle East and Africa. Winter CIS network covers 12 destinations: Baku, Bishkek, Yerevan, Minsk, Tashkent, Kiev, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Simferopol, Odessa, and Karaganda.
Aeroflot domestic network includes 39 most popular destinations: Abakan, Anapa, Astrakhan, Barnaul, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Kemerovo, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Magnitogorsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhnevartovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhnekamsk, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Omsk, Perm, Petropavlovsk- Kamchatsky, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut, Tomsk, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude, Ufa, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, Chita, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Yakutsk.
One of Aeroflot’s main tasks is to play an active part in shaping the structure of Russia’s civil aviation and to promote further development of domestic air travel. Thus new regular flights will be launched to four Russian destinations: Chita (4 flights per week starting from October 27); Ulan-Ude (3 flights per week starting from October 28); Blagoveshchensk (2 flights per week starting from October 28); Rostov-on-Don (7 flights per week starting from March 1).
On condition that air service between Russia and Georgia is restored, flights to Tbilisi will be reopened adding a new destination to the route map.
One of Aeroflot’s top priorities is to introduce additional frequencies on already existing routes from Moscow to the following destinations (flights per week): Krasnodar (from 35 to 42), Nizhny Novgorod (from 28 to 35) , Kazan (from 21 to 35) , Samara (from 28 to 35), Sochi (from 28 to 35) , Perm (from 21 to 28), Ufa (from 21 to 28), Chelyabinsk (from 21 to 28), Astrakhan (from 14 to 21), Irkutsk (from 14 to 21), Nizhnekamsk (from 14 to 21) , Mineralnye Vody (from 7 to 14), Surgut (from 7 to 14), Kiev (from 21 to 35), Yerevan (from 21 to 28), Odessa (from 14 to 21), Kharkiv (from 7 to 14), Barcelona (from 14 to 21), Antalya (from 7 to 14), Belgrade (from 7 to 14), Madrid (from 7 to 14), Tel Aviv (from 7 to 14 ), Guangzhou (from 3 to 5).
Under the winter schedule Aeroflot will increase the number of destinations where state-of-the-art Boeing-777-300ERs are providing services. New aircraft will fly to Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Phuket, and Shanghai.
During XXII Winter Olympics Boeing-777-300ER aircraft will fly on the route Moscow-Sochi. At the same time the frequency of flights to Sochi will be increased to 63 flights per week in order to transport participants and guests of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The network of Aeroflot’s own flights will be enhanced by 81 routes operated by subsidiary companies of Aeroflot Group. Aeroflot marketing flights will be operated on 69 more routes.
In total Aeroflot Group and its code sharing partners will fly to 272 destinations in 65 countries including Russia.
