airBaltic to improve service to Rijeka

For summer 2013, airBaltic has introduced six new destinations – Prague (Czech Republic), Heviz-Balaton (Hungary), Olbia (Sardinia, Italy), Rijeka (Croatia), Larnaca (Cyprus), and Malta.

RIGA – Latvian airline airBaltic will introduce an additional flight frequency from Riga to Rijeka on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. The improved service will offer convenient travel between the two airports, and beyond to destinations in the Baltics, Scandinavia, Russia, and the CIS.

Michael Grimme, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “We are encouraged by the high demand for our new flights to Rijeka. We are delighted to introduced an additional flight frequency to Rijeka on Sundays for the peak travel season in summer.”

airBaltic will fly from Riga to Rijeka twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Passengers will board a Boeing 737-300 aircraft for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 25 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at LVL 39 (EUR 55), including airport fees and transaction costs.

airBaltic serves 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
