CCRA Travel Solutions forecasts 2013 Spring Travel Trends

CCRA reports a 21.2 percent Yr/Yr increase in spring international hotel bookings, suggesting that travel agents are booking significantly more hotel stays in popular Europe vacation destinations this spring compared to 2012.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – CCRA Travel Solutions – a leading provider of business-related solutions for the travel professional – today announces the top five domestic and international spring 2013 vacation destinations based on travel agent hotel bookings made through the CCRAtravel.com distribution channel. CCRA also reports a 21.2 percent Yr/Yr increase in spring international hotel bookings, suggesting that travel agents are booking significantly more hotel stays in popular Europe vacation destinations this spring compared to 2012.

According to recent CCRAtravel.com statistics (data pulled on March 5th), the following cities have received the highest number of hotel bookings from travel professionals for spring arrivals between March 1st – May 31st, 2013:

The Top 5 U.S. Cities:
1. Las Vegas
2. Orlando
3. New Orleans
4. Fort Lauderdale
5. New York

The Top 5 International Cities:
1. Paris
2. London
3. Rome
4. Barcelona
5. San Juan – New to this Top 5 International Cities List

Other interesting spring 2013 trends based on a Yr/Yr comparison of hotel bookings made by agents via the CCRAtravel.com reservations portal, include the following:

  • A 21.2 Percent Increase In International Hotel Bookings
  • A 8.6 Percent Increase in U.S. Hotel Bookings
  • New to the 2013 “Top 10 International Cities” List: Puerto Vallarta & Cancun
  • New to the 2013 “Top 10 US Cities” List: Washington, DC.
