The Information Technology and Telecommunications Unit (IT&T) of Athens International Airport was certified according to ISO 9001:2000 by TUV Hellas (a member of TUV NORD Group). TUV Hellas certified the introduction and implementation of a Quality Management System covering the whole spectrum of AIA`s IT&T Unit activities.
Specifically, the certification relates to:
- E. The provision of IT&T services, including airport operation systems
- EE. The design, implementation and management of integrated Information Technology & Telecommunications projects and solutions
The introduction of a Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 contributes to a better perception of and a quicker response to customer requirements. Along with the Recognition for Excellence Award of the European Foundation for Quality Management (January 2003), this new certification acknowledges AIA`s commitment towards providing state-of-the-art IT&T services according to AIA.
