bmibaby takes off to two new ski destinations

bmibaby has announced the launch of two new ski destinations, Chambery and Toulouse, to coincide with the start of the ski and snowboard season. The low cost airline will commence flights from East Midlands Airport to Chambery on 16 December 2011 and to Toulouse on 23 December 2011.

Taking skiers and snowboarders to the gateway of the French Alps, bmibaby will operate flights to Chambery on Monday and Friday. The airline will also fly to Toulouse up to twice a week, offering convenient flights to the Pyrenees mountain range.

bmibaby expects to carry more than 15,000 customers to Chambery and Toulouse during the ski season.

Julian Carr, managing director, bmibaby, said: "We are delighted to be launching flights to Chambery and Toulouse from East Midlands Airport. As the gateways to the best French ski resorts both in the Alps and the Pyrenees, the new routes will enhance our appeal to skiers and snowboarders.

"With convenient flight times, low fares and a great service guaranteed, we are confident the routes will prove very popular, perfectly complementing our existing ski destinations from the Midlands."

Recently voted Best Low Cost Airline by the discerning readers of Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, bmibaby will commence flights from East Midlands Airport to Chambery and Toulouse in December.
