Flisvos Marina received ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 Certification

Flisvos Marina announced today that it has achieved ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certification from Lloyd’s Register Group, making it the first marina in Greece to achieve both standardizations.

Mr. Apostolos Tamvakakis, Chairman and CEO of LAMDA Development, (the marina’s principal shareholder) accepted the ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certifications from CEO of Lloyd’s Register Group, Mr. Richard Sadler at a special press conference and award ceremony held at Flisvos Marina, in Athens, Greece.

In his address, Mr. Apostolos Tamvakakis noted the significance of the ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certifications as demonstrating Flisvos Marina’s commitment to providing standardized quality, security and environmental management practices.

"We are delighted to be awarding these certificates of approval for quality and environmental management systems to Flisvos Marina," said Mr. Richard Sadler.

The event was attended by Greece’s Minister of Tourism, Mr. Aris Spiliotopoulos and President of Greece’s Tourism Development Company, Mr. Petros Alevizatos who, in their speeches, noted the marina’s distinction as being a fine example of the progress and achievements in providing a high standard tourism product that is environmentally sound.
