Ireland the venue for the fifth annual Golf Business Forum

The fifth annual Golf Business Forum will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt Hotel, near Dublin, Ireland, May 12-14, 2008 as KPMG announced. The conference is anticipated to attract golf’s biggest players from the hotel, real estate, finance and tourism sectors.

“Ireland has proved itself to be a world leader in developing golf tourism, successful golf resorts and communities, and is home to some of the world’s most spectacular golf courses, so it is entirely appropriate that the fifth annual Golf Business Forum should be hosted in Ireland,” said Andrea Sartori, head of KPMG’s specialist Golf Advisory Services Team EMA, and founder of the Golf Business Forum.

“Many of the finest golf hotels and real estate developments anywhere in the EMA region can be found in Ireland, including The K Club, Mount Juliet and our host venue, the outstanding new Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt Hotel. The Irish Government’s pro-active support of golf and tourism, combined with well-planned developments, has generated phenomenal success and offers a compelling case study from which international delegates to the Golf Business Forum will undoubtedly learn and benefit.”

Next year, an anticipated 300 delegates from more than 40 countries will benefit from valuable insight into how Ireland successfully transformed itself form a mature golf market into one of the world’s top golf destinations.
