New Athens metro ready

The new Athens<.> Metro<.> has started undergoing five weeks of tests without passengers. It is scheduled to start operating for the public January 20, with the hope it may help alleviate the huge traffic problems of the city.

It has been estimated that the city of Athens, with a population of over four million people, has a car population on two million and sine 20.000 new vehicles being added every month.
