Prestige Holidays adds Lake Como and Sardinia for summer 2009

Prestige Holidays has expanded its Italian programme for summer 2009 with the introduction of Lake Como and Sardinia and the addition of three new hotels on Lake Garda. The operator has also added two properties in Crete, two in Mallorca and one in the Algarve. Brochure prices for summer 2009 lead in at £478 for a week’s stay at the Riad Opale in Marrakech including return flights from London Gatwick, private taxi transfers and BB accommodation in a double room. The package is based on departures between 16 June and 9 July 2009 and includes one free night.

Prestige Holidays is offering families booking a holiday from its 2009 brochure the chance to win a family holiday for four to a destination of their choice next year. Each child travelling on a Prestige holiday between 25 April and 25 October 2009 will be given a cuddly bear with its very own passport to take away with them. To enter the family simply records details of the Bear’s best day on holiday in his passport and sends this with a photograph of the family on holiday to Prestige by 1 November 2009. The best entry wins the holiday.

John Dixon, Chairman and Managing Director, comments on the expansion of the operator’s programme: “We put our toes in the Italian waters this summer when we launched our Lake Garda programme. The destination has been exceedingly well received by our clients and travel agents and for this reason we have expanded our Lake Garda portfolio this year and are featuring Lake Como for the first time.

“Sardinia is a destination we have been considering for a couple of years and the response to our first Italian programme was confirmation that we should include it in our summer brochure.”

Prestige Holidays is offering three hotels on the Lake Como resorts of Menaggio, Tremezzo and Bellagio. The comfortable Grand Hotel Menaggio located directly on the Lake has 93 rooms, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace is a very elegant property with a choice of restaurants and a superb spa and the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio is set in a privately owned park and ideally situated for exploring the Lake.

In Lake Garda, Prestige has added the modern and elegant Park Hotel Imperial in Limone, the intimate Hotel Bellevue San Lorenzo near Malcesine and the Du Lac et Du Parc hotel in Riva.

The operator is offering eight properties in the beautiful and unspoilt island of Sardinia: the Marinedda Hotel Thalasso & Spa near Isola Rossa, the Valle dell’Erica Hotel; situated in a totally unspoilt spot some 12 kms from Santa Teresa, the Capo d’Orso hotel near Palau and L’ea Bianca and Le Palme hotels in Porto Cervo. Prestige is also featuring the Castello and Le Palme hotels in the Forte Village in Santa Margherita di Pula and can book the other five properties on request.

Packages in Italy lead in at £739 per person at the Grand Hotel Gardone Riviera in Lake Garda including: return flights with British Airways from London Gatwick, private taxi transfers and seven nights BB accommodation in a twin room with lake views.

In Mallorca, Prestige has added two very popular four star hotels, both well known in the UK, the superb Hotel BonSol in Illetas and the delightful Es Moli Hotel in picturesque Deia.

New for 2009 in Crete are the Aquila Elounda Village, a completely renovated hotel on the shores of Mirabello Bay in the beautiful fishing village of Elounda and the Out of the Blue, Capsis Elite hotel, next to the small village of Aghia Pelaghia, a 20 minute drive from the island’s capital Heraklion. This resort has no less than 5 different hotels and a huge array of services.

In addition, Prestige Holidays has added the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in the Algarve offering a wide range of accommodation, restaurants and pools and excellent facilities for children.

Other destinations featured in the summer brochure are Cyprus, Southern Spain, Madeira, Malta, Gozo and the Canaries. It also includes the Prestige Plus programme offering a range of extras for clients including: free travel guides and added value offers at a wide selection of the properties such as free nights, complimentary meals, free green fees, free car hire, complimentary spa packages, room upgrades and no single supplements on selected dates at a variety of hotels.

Prestige Holidays donates £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support for every client booked.
