Thousands of Scottish holiday makers have been booking last minute deals to foreign climes  this summer in an attempt to escape the heavy rain fall that has hit many parts of Scotland for much of the summer.

The unpredictability of the weather in Scotland has lead to an upsurge in last minute bookings which can often be obtained for a fraction of the usual price.

Go Travel Direct, which was established in August 2003, is offering all-inclusive Caribbean holidays to Cuba and the Dominican Republic this summer, with flights from Glasgow Airport.

With prices starting from £729 for 14 nights departing in August, and literally no need to take your wallet on holiday, the ultra-inclusive Caribbean hotels, selection of bars, restaurants water-sports, swimming pools and facilities available will leave you spoilt for choice.

Margaret Matheson, Director of Go Travel Direct, said: “The Caribbean is a much sought-after holiday destination for many and with fantastic last minute deals to be had this summer, we have made the Caribbean a more affordable place to visit for Scots seeking tropical sunshine.

“We are offering all-inclusive exotic holidays at low prices and with no need to pay for extras for the whole two weeks, you can relax on the famous white sandy beaches and enjoy the variety of bars, restaurants and activities on offer for the whole family.”
