Seminar The Future of Consulting to take place for the first time at the ITB Convention Market Trends&Innovations on 11 March 2005

What will be the holiday destinations and the tourism products of tomorrow? How will IT in tourism develop? What roles will safety and environment issues play in the future? And what are the answers that management consultants can give to these questions?



This will be the general theme debated by leading experts at a seminar entitled The Future of Consulting, which takes place during the ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations on Friday, 11 March 2005 from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m. in Hall 7.1.b. The event is coorganised by the ITB Berlin and Equator International & Meetings World (1969) Associates. This new initiative by the ITB Berlin aims to encourage discussion between management consultants and the tourism industry. Messe Berlin will broaden its commitment even further at the ITB 2006 by organising its own and lounge concept.(ITB Consulting Room



After a brief introduction by Tim Robinson, CEO Equator International & Meetings World (1969) Associates, the following experts will hold papers on the future of consulting in the tourism industry:



Peter Trautmann, Managing Director Flughafen Munchen; Geoffrey Lipman, Consultant WTO (World Tourism Organization); Susanne Robker, Manager Strategic Purchasing General Goods and Services Deutsche Lufthansa AG; Dr. Joachim Staude, Vice-President Association of German Management Consultants; John Koldowski, Director of Strategic Intelligence, PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association); Dr. Martin Buck, Director Competence Center Travel&Logistics, Messe Berlin. An open discussion with all participants will follow.
