Stratos Jet Charters, Inc., a worldwide air charter agency, announced that it was recently certified as a "Wyvern-authorized broker" in the Wyvern Pilot & Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) program.
Since its inception, Stratos Jets has always been dedicated to air charter safety and excellence. In addition to being a long-standing member of the prestigious Air Charter Association of North America (ACANA), Stratos Jets has been apart of the Wyvern PASS report system since 2007. As of last week, Stratos Jets was certified as a Wyvern-authorized broker.
Wyvern is the global leader in aviation safety auditing, consulting and information services. Wyvern specializes in performing on-site, safety audits on charter operators, and has conducted more than 1,700 safety audits worldwide, using the most experienced and highly-trained auditors in the industry.
During a Wyvern on-site safety audit, also known as a "safety evaluation," Part 135 charter operators are measured against "The Wyvern Standard." The Wyvern Standard is a set of safety measurement criterion that exceeds government regulations for air charter flight operations and maintenance.
The information that is collected and analyzed during a Wyvern safety audit is maintained in a database that is accessible through the Pilot & Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) system. The PASS report system enables qualified charter brokers to generate individual safety reports, called PASS reports, on both Wyvern-recommended and non-recommended charter operators.
Each PASS report provides air charter consumers with invaluable information regarding the operator, aircraft and flight crew of their charter flights. For example, the pilot check verifies that the flight crew of any given charter flight is fully certificated, properly type-rated, and has met flight time requirements and has current medical and training records.
As a certified Wyvern-authorized broker, Stratos Jets now has the ability to check and verify that every charter flight is "Wyvern-compliant" through the PASS report system. According to Joel Thomas, President and founder of Stratos Jets, "any charter broker can access the PASS report system, but only Wyvern-authorized brokers, such as Stratos Jets, have the ability to offer a PASS report on every charter flight."

Thomas went on to say that Stratos Jets’ expanded access to the PASS report system will enhance its due-diligence program by providing clients with even more information about the aircraft, pilots, maintenance and insurance levels of every charter flight.
