Visit London will once again be showing its support for International Confex (21-23 February 2006) by hosting 60 US and UK buyers on a fam trip to showcase the capital.

Sue Bertram, General Manager Sales at Visit London, said: “Visit London is pleased to be able to support International Confex by bringing in top buyers from the US and UK. London never fails to impress and we believe that this fam trip will be no different. London represents excellent value for money, has world class venues, services and facilities, and most importantly has a pool of talented individuals to back them up.”

The familiarisation tour will demonstrate the quality of London’s tourism offering. The itinerary for UK buyers has been organised by event management company The Competitive Edge, who succeeded in impressing buyers during last year’s London fam trip.

After a night at a 5-star hotel in the capital, the UK buyers will attend a hosted breakfast in the ‘Take 5’ section of the London Area where they will have a chance to meet with Visit London partners.

In the evening, both UK and US hosted buyers will attend a Visit London networking event at the home of the Institute of Directors in the heart of the West End, followed by a spectacular gala dinner.

Visit London will have its biggest ever stand at Confex in 2006. 14 partners will share the 69 square metre stand, including: NH Hotels, etc.venues, Millennium & Copthorne, Southwark Council, BAFTA, Savoy Hotel, Cola Hotels, Novotel London West, Hilton Hotels, Fairfield Halls and Chandos House.
