GlobalCollect Forms partnership with UATP as hotel acquirer

This strategic partnership will add value to the UATP Network, setting new levels of growth. It will help further growth globally by increasing the card's acceptance at hotels used for corporate travel around the world.

WASHINGTON – UATP, the low cost payment network owned by airlines, announced their new partnership with GlobalCollect, the world’s leading Payment Service Provider for the Customer Not-Present channel, as a hotel acquirer.

“GlobalCollect will open a wide range of hotels to the UATP Network by solving the need for acceptance of additional payment methods,” said Tom Cunningham, Vice President. Business Development, UATP. “As a hotel Acquirer, GlobalCollect will help strengthen the network, benefiting our corporate account holders with access to a wide selection of hotels.”

GlobalCollect’s extensive work in the global banking and payment industry led to the creation of their premier payment platform, WebCollect. This platform accepts over 170 currencies and more than 150 payment methods, allowing corporations to use their preferred UATP account for hotels.

The GlobalCollect and UATP integration will continue to support folio level data supplied to card holders for travel management. Card holders will have access to more data for purchased travel and hotel stays.
