Unsuspecting Hertz customers surprised with luxury experience and complimentary dream car upgrades.
MIAMI and NAPLES, FLA. – Hertz celebrated a milestone: the 25,000th rental of a Dream Car since the luxury collection of vehicles including Aston Martins, Ferraris, Bentleys and Lamborghinis was introduced in 2012. To commemorate this occasion, Hertz surprised five unsuspecting customers picking up their car rentals with a complimentary upgrade to a Dream Car of their choice. As part of the celebration, Mark Frissora, Hertz Chairman and CEO, awarded the 25,000th Dream Car renter with a surprise Dream Package which included:
- Overnight stay in Miami at the Winter Haven Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection
- Dinner for two at Lure Fishbar South Beach, one of the area’s hottest restaurants
“Today’s celebration marks the growth and popularity of our luxurious Dream Cars collection, which distinguishes Hertz as a leader in the industry. Achieving our 25,000th rental in less than two years of the program exceeds our most optimistic assumptions,” said Mark P. Frissora. “Driving one of these cars is a memorable and exciting VIP experience and we’re privileged to provide our customers with the opportunity to get behind the wheel and feel the power, sportiness, elegance and comfort of these unique vehicles.”
The Dream Cars collection is currently offered in 35 U.S. markets including Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas. The collection is expanding to European markets in 2015. Vehicles in the collection include:

- Audi R8, Spyder
- Bentley Continental GT
- BMW (650i Gran Coupe, 650i Convertible, M5)
- Cadillac CTS-V
- Ferrari (California, F430)
- Lamborghini Gallardo
- Land Rover Range Rover Sport
- Mercedes-Benz AMG (SLS, C63, E63)
- Mercedes-Benz (SL550, G550)
- Porsche (911, Cayenne, Boxster, Panamera)
- Tesla Model S
Dream Car rentals include a Hertz Concierge who offers personalized orientation of the vehicle. Delivery to and pickup from hotel, home, or other off-airport location is also available.
The 25,000th Dream Car celebration comes on the heels of the third anniversary of the award-winning Hertz Gold Plus Rewards customer loyalty program with newly-enhanced member benefits.
