Airline opts for decorative design in toilets…free of charge

Jet2.com launches a loo with a view

While rival airlines have threatened to charge customers a pound to spend a penny, friendly low fare airline, Jet2.com has unveiled plans to install quirky toilet wall art across its fleet – giving passengers something to smile about whilst going about their business.

Jet2.com, which flies from six northern bases, decided to add a bit of fun to the journey by surprising passengers with the striking and fun images when visiting the loo. The images will vary across the 757 and 737 fleet and include a cheeky camel, ladies splashing in the sea, children running across the beach and a man jumping into the sea.

The introduction of the new wall art follows the launch of Jet2.com’s new ‘Friendly low fares’ strap line which will appear across its aircraft stationed across the UK and Europe. The new strap line, which was first launched in November last year, reinforces Jet2.com’s strategy to concentrate on the lowest fares but the friendliest service.

Philip Meeson, boss at Jet2.com said: “At Jet2.com, we want to give our passengers an enjoyable journey, rather than making them spend a pound when all they want to do is spend a penny!

“The introduction of the wall art ties in with the new friendly low fare message, which at Jet2.com, we are very keen to put into practise wherever we can…even in the loos.”

This summer will see Jet2.com launch 20 new routes to a wide range of summer holiday destinations including Dubrovnik, Tel Aviv, Newquay and Menorca.
