Over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings will give regional suppliers the chance to showcase their offering, and Hosted Buyers the chance to do some great deals.
Yesterday saw the first day of CONVENE, the Meetings Industry exhibition that showcases the opportunities on offer in the Baltic Sea Region.
The focus on the first day is on the Professional Development Academy for regional suppliers, with a full day of seminars and discussions on the pressing issues in the industry. The day covers everything from the political impact of the industry right through to tips on pitching venues and packages. Some of the biggest names in the Meetings Industry are speaking at the event, which is being held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva.
Exhibition Director Jolanta Beniuliene said: “CONVENE’s whole aim is to develop the Meetings Industry in the Baltic Sea Region. Part of our strategy is to help regional suppliers increase their skills and level of service, and the Professional Development Academy provides the perfect opportunity to achieve that.”
Meanwhile, over 150 international buyers will arrive today. As part of the Hosted Buyer Programme, they will get to enjoy first hand the sights and sounds of the vibrant host city, Vilnius. Over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings will give regional suppliers the chance to showcase their offering, and Hosted Buyers the chance to do some great deals.
CONVENE 2014 is being held 12-13 Feb at the LITEXPO venue in Vilnius, Lithuania.
