The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) with 15 co-participants is scheduled to participate in the Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition (MTE) in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday, 27th February 2003.
DTCM Executive Overseas Promotions, Khalifa Buamaim, who will be attending the exhibition, said that the event will provide us an appropriate platform to promote our facilities and amenities among a wide range of tourism industry professionals. The four-day event offers a perfect environment to explore and avail of new opportunities, said Mr. Buamaim.
He noted that Turkish market has always yielded positive and by attending events like MTE, we are exploring and utilizing the market potential. A large number of domestic and foreign tourism office and tour operators, travel agencies, hotels and hotels chains will be participating in the exhibition. We will get opportunity to interact with varied airline companies, rent-a-car companies, yachting and marina operators, regional tourism administrators, outbound-inbound tour operators and many more. Road, air, rail and cruiseline, tourism representation foundations and other sectoral firms providing service to the tourism sector shall also be active in the MTE 2003 Exhibition, detailed Mr. Buamiam.
Mr. Buamaim held that beside its commercial potential, MTE 2003 is a platform to understand global practices and share knowledge. In the conferences during the event, the developments and the growing requirements in tourism field will be discussed. The trends that should dominate global tourism will be identified by professionals during MTE 2003, he concluded.
