Mideast makes history as World’s Leading DMC at the World Travel Awards

For the first time in the Greek tourism history, a DMC receives such an award. This distinction seals the company’s 35 years of history.

ATHENS – For the first time in the company’s history and on its 35th anniversary, Mideast receives the honorary title “World's Leading Destination Management Company 2018” by the World Travel Awards, the Oscars of the tourism industry.

The greatest players of the tourism industry on a global level attended the special ceremony that took place at the Patio da Gale in Lisbon on Saturday the 1st of December 2018.

The award Mideast received last June as “Europe's Leading DMC”, was the very ticket that secured its nomination among the world's bests, next to giants of tourism worldwide. Mideast, grace to the votes received by its supporters, managed to get the top-of-the-world award in its category.

Mideast's Managing Director, Mrs. Katerina Mousbeh stated: “Our distinction as “WORLD'S Leading DMC” filled our hearts with satisfaction, as it is the best recognition for our company’s 35 years of teamwork and success. Yet, being considered as the leading DMC worldwide, makes us feel even more responsible for the future of the Greek tourism product and this is the biggest challenge for us: to prove strong, exceeding our expectations once more. We are investing in the latest technologies, following the trends of our digital era, not for the purpose of another award, but for our customers’ benefit. This is our promise. We would once again like to thank our customers, partners and our team for placing us on the top of the world”.

The World Travel Awards is the most prestigious, comprehensive and sought-after awards program in the global travel and tourism industry. To be voted a World Travel Award winner is an accolade which many strive for, but few achieve.
