Pulkovo Airport increases passenger traffic by 13.7% for the first four months of 2019

In January-April 2019, Pulkovo Airport handled 49,430 take-off and landing operations, which is an increase of 8.3% year-on-year.

In January-April 2019, Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport welcomed 5,071,038 passengers, which is 13.7% more than in the same period of 2018.

The number of passengers on domestic flights grew by 15.2% to 3,401,593 passengers. International traffic increased by 10.8% and amounted to 1,669,445 passengers.

In January-April 2019, Pulkovo Airport handled 49,430 take-off and landing operations, which is an increase of 8.3% year-on-year.

In January-April 2019, Rossiya Airlines, Pobeda, Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, and Ural Airlines were the largest Russian carriers in terms of passenger numbers at Pulkovo. In total, they provided services to 3,272,998 passengers at St. Petersburg Airport or 64.5% of the total traffic for that period. Among foreign airlines, Lufthansa, Uzbekistan Airways, Belavia, Emirates, and Finnair became the leaders at St. Petersburg Airport for the 4-month period of 2019. In total, they handled 374,961 passengers at Pulkovo or 7.4% of the airport traffic.

In April 2019, 1,426,644 passengers traveled through Pulkovo St. Petersburg Airport, a number 11.2% higher than in the same month of 2018.

Domestic traffic increased by 12.5% to 911,349 passengers compared to the same period of 2018. International traffic grew by 9.1% year-on-year and amounted to 515,295 passengers.

In April 2019, Pulkovo Airport handled 13,382 take-off and landing operations, which is an increase of 6.7% to the level of April 2018.

 In April 2019, Rossiya Airlines, Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 Airlines, and Ural Airlines were the largest Russian carriers in terms of passenger numbers at Pulkovo. In total, they provided services to 890,469 passengers or 62.4% of the total traffic at St. Petersburg Airport for that period. Among foreign airlines, the leaders were Lufthansa, Uzbekistan Airways, Belavia, KLM, and Finnair. In total, they handled 113,273 passengers at Pulkovo or 7.9% of the airport traffic for April 2019.

In April 2019, the route network of Pulkovo Airport expanded with four new destinations: Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Olbia (Italy), Eilat (Israel), and Elista (Russia). Additionally, Pulkovo resumed flights between St. Petersburg and Seoul (South Korea).

Pulkovo Airport, for the first time, obtained a prestigious Wings of Russia Award 2018 and, for the second year in a row, became the laureate of the Routes Europe 2019 Marketing Awards.
