Rail Europe and AVExperience sign a collaboration agreement at FITUR

The agreement encompasses the participation of AVExperience to the Rail Europe Connexion campaign, including the distribution of 2.2 million copies of the Rail Europe Connexion magazine in 14 countries and 7 languages.

A collaboration agreement was concluded during the International Tourism Fair in Spain (FITUR) between Rail Europe and AVExperience on the 31st January 2013 in Madrid.

The agreement focuses on the promotion of the 16 AVExperience cities in Rail Europe’s overseas markets including Asia, the Middle East, Australia and South America.

Representing the different faces of Spain (Heritage, Culture, Gastronomy and Leisure), destinations like Barcelona, Calatayud, Ciudad Real, Cordoba, Cuenca, Huesca, Lleida, Madrid, Malaga, Alicante, Segovia, Sevilla, Tarragona, Valencia, Valladolid and Zaragoza will benefit from Rail Europe’s presence and expertise in more than 50 markets.

The agreement encompasses the participation of AVExperience to the Rail Europe Connexion campaign, including the distribution of 2.2 million copies of the Rail Europe Connexion magazine in 14 countries and 7 languages as well as an inspirational website – raileuropeconnexion.com – where 4 AVExperience itineraries are promoted. The visibility given to AVExperience by this campaign will be enhanced by the joint organization of press trips promoting the AVExperience’s member cities and the Renfe network.

The agreement was signed by Mr Gregorio Seranno Lopez, president of AVExperience and Pierre-Stephane Austi, CEO of Rail Europe in the presence of Mr Julio Gomez-Pomar Rodriguez, President of Renfe, Ms Mercedes Cantalapiedra, Vice-president of AVExperience, Ms Alicia Garcia Rodriguez, Culture and Tourism counselor of Castilla y Leon and Mr Xavier Theret, Rail Europe’s Marketing Director.

“We are really happy about this agreement and pleased to work with a network of such dynamic cities in Spain. Not only this collaboration will give more visibility to these cities, but it will also encourage visitors to travel by train to visit different Spanish regions. I am confident about this collaboration and hopefully we will be able to ensure a long term success with AVExperience” said Pierre-Stephane Austi.

AVExperience is the association of the Spanish cities connected by AVE high speed trains.
