Sernam and Rhenus Freight Logistics sign an international partnership agreement

Sernam, first private operator in multimodal transport in France, and Rhenus Freight Logistics France, European logistics provider, announce an international partnership. Based on a common desire for strategic development with the objective to reinforce and enlarge the offers of both companies.

With this agreement, Sernam will develop a standard pallet service to and from more than 30 countries, based on Rhenus’ global network and its 230 locations.  In addition to this geographical service expansion, Sernam will also benefit from Rhenus’ experience in transport and logistics, especially in Germany, Benelux, Spain and Eastern Europe, where the group is strongly established.

"We have decided to collaborate with Rhenus Freight Logistics with the aim to gain new markets and develop a new european standard service offer"
says Philippe Chevalier, CEO of Sernam.

On the other end, Rhenus Freight Logistics France will take advantage of Sernam’s extended and state-of-the-art distribution network in France, result of the active investment program initiated in 2003. Rhenus will have access to the unique expertise of Sernam in multimodal express transport, based on the flexibility of the road and reliability of the railway.

"The geographical distribution of the 55 branches of Sernam and its rail/road versatility are real assets, which match our current needs. By combining strengths with Sernam, Rhenus Freight Logistics France will be able to further increase the level of service for its international clients and partners",
say Tobias Bartz, Managing Director of Rhenus Freight Logistics France.
