Travel Counsellors chooses Travelport for the future

Long-term partnership sealed with first ever global GDS agreement.

DUBAI, UAE – Travelport, a leading distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, has sealed its first ever global GDS agreement with long-term partner, Travel Counsellors.

Founded in 1994, Travel Counsellors has been listed in the Financial Times/Virgin Atlantic list of Britain’s fastest-growing companies on four consecutive occasions. Headquartered in the UK, Travel Counsellors has expanded into the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Australia, Europe and Canada.

The multi-year agreement sees Travel Counsellors upgrade to the latest version of the Travelport SmartPoint desktop, which will be personalised for Travel Counsellors’ 1,250 agents globally, giving them access to intelligent content in a familiar user experience.

Through Travelport Mobile Agent, Travel Counsellors’ agents will be available around the clock, ideally suited to their personalised service and flexible working model.
