Farelogix Inc., a provider of independent faring and multi-source distribution technology to the global travel industry, announced that David Cerino has joined the company as chief marketing and product officer. A respected industry specialist, Cerino will play an instrumental role as Farelogix pursues its quest to provide travel agencies with unprecedented distribution flexibility and control for buying, selling and managing travel related services. In his new role, Cerino will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the company`s global marketing and product strategy. Cerino has tremendous expertise in the travel industry, having held senior executive positions with Orbitz, the world`s third largest travel Web site; and Amadeus Global Travel Distribution, the largest worldwide travel reservation system.



David has an outstanding reputation for creating industry-changing business models that drive success in the travel industry. He knows the industry and all of its intricacies. Having him join our growing team is a tremendous reinforcement of Farelogix`s leadership and recognizes our potential in the evolving market we serve, said Jim Davidson, president and CEO of Farelogix. Prior to joining Farelogix, Cerino spent four years with Orbitz as vice president and general manager. There he had monumental success in creating, building and operating the `Orbitz for Business` unit, a unique corporate travel market entry that continues to grow exponentially. His direct marketing efforts there brought more than 1,400 corporate clients to the portfolio within the first two years, including such major accounts as McDonald`s, Verizon Wireless, Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokerage, Cingular Wireless, Knight Ridder, Sybase, Yale University and Ace Hardware.



Cerino previously held the role of vice president of marketing operations and customer experience for DigitalWork, a leading provider of technology that enables the aggregation and distribution of business services over the Internet. He also spent two years as vice president, Internet marketing and customer experience for First USA Bank, as well as six years as senior director of marketing and product management for Amadeus Global Travel Distribution.
