The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Multiunit Lodging Operators & Owners Forum will be held April 27-29, 2002, at the Denver Marriott City Center in Denver, Colo. This two-day event is geared exclusively to address the unique concerns and needs of senior executives of multiunit owners-operators and management companies.
This year’s forum chairman is Kevin Hanley, executive vice president and COO of Sunburst Hospitality, based in Silver Spring, Md. Hanley will welcome several industry speakers to discuss various topics including managing growth, implementing maintenance and capital improvements, maximizing yield, and overseeing management information systems. Additional sessions will focus on how to supervise multiple properties, save money through group buying, organize a hotel opening, and grow business.
The Multiunit Forum has become an important venue that presents insightful and practical information to this particular group of hoteliers. This closely-knit environment allows attendees to leave having learned valuable techniques during the various educational sessions and, perhaps, gain a new support network with colleagues dealing with the same unique predicaments, said Hanley.
The Multiunit Lodging Operators & Owners Forum registration rate is $350 for members and $550 for nonmembers. The Denver Marriott City Center is extending a special room rate of $149.
