Vaclav Havel Airport Prague will offer connections to 114 destinations during winter 18/19

As part of this winter’s flight schedule, Vaclav Havel Airport Prague will offer connections to 114 destinations.

PRAGUE – As of Sunday, 28 October 2018, the winter flight schedule becomes effective. It will provide flights from Vaclav Havel Airport Prague to 114 destinations in 42 countries. New additions will include Belfast, Marrakesh, Amman, Sharjah, Pisa, Split and Dubrovnik. Altogether, Prague Airport will fly to ten new destinations during the winter season.

“Despite the dense network of existing direct flights from Prague, we will introduce several new and attractive destinations that will be included in the upcoming winter flight schedule. These are Amman in Jordan, Marrakesh in Morocco and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. New flights to these destinations prove that we have been successfully expanding our network with destinations outside of Europe, which is the path that we want to continue taking in the future,” says Vaclav Rehor, the Chairman of the Prague Airport Board.

Sixty airlines will operate regular flights from Prague during the winter season and two of them, Air Arabia and Cyprus Airways, will appear on Prague’s winter schedule for the very first time.

In addition to opening new lines and destinations, Vaclav Havel Airport Prague will also increase the frequency and capacities of existing lines. Qatar Airways will operate one of its daily flights to Doha in a long-haul Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will increase the overall capacity by approximately 46%. The frequency will be increased on flights to London/Heathrow, London/City, Moscow and Riga.

The busiest country with regard to the number of destinations, even in winter, is the UK, where 16 different destinations are offered, including all major international London airports, which are serviced by direct flights from Prague. The second busiest country is France (10 destinations), followed by Italy (9 destinations), Spain (9 destinations) and Russia (8 destinations). Most flights in winter will fly to London (up to 13 flights per day), Moscow (up to 10 flights per day), Paris (up to 8 flights), Amsterdam (as many as 7 flights) and Warsaw (7 flights).

New destinations in the 2018-2019 winter season schedule include: Kutaisi (Wizzair), Marrakesh (Ryanair), Amman (Ryanair), Belfast (easyJet), Sharjah (Air Arabia), Pisa (Ryanair), Split (CSA/SmartWings), Dubrovnik(CSA/SmartWings), Paris/Beauvais (Ryanair), Larnaca (Cyprus Airways).
