Virgin America launches new seasonal service from New York's JFK to Fort Lauderdale

In addition to the new seasonal daily service to Fort Lauderdale, the airline is adding a second weekly flight to its seasonal service between JFK and Palm Springs.

SAN FRANCISCO – Virgin America begins new daily nonstop seasonal service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). To celebrate the new routes, Virgin America has launched a network-wide fare sale with fares from $89* JFK – FLL (taxes and fees included with restrictions applying) one way.

Virgin America is also offering New York-area flyers a chance to win the ultimate winter escape to the Sunshine State with free flights, two-night hotel stay at the luxurious Mondrian South Beach, a $100 credit to La Savina restaurant and complimentary Sixt car rental.

We’re pleased to offer our New York flyers flight options for their warm weather escapes with this new seasonal, award winning service to Fort Lauderdale,” said John MacLeod, Virgin America’s SVP of Planning and Sales. “New York City to Fort Lauderdale is a frequently requested route from our Elevate members in New York and Fort Lauderdale.”

In addition to the new seasonal daily service to Fort Lauderdale, the airline is adding a second weekly flight to its seasonal service between JFK and Palm Springs.

Known for its new, beautifully designed aircraft and topnotch service, Virgin America has been named both the “Best U.S. Airline” in Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards and “Best Domestic Airline” in Travel + LeisureWorld’s Best Awards for the past seven consecutive years. The airline offers a consistent, upscale product on every flight — with fleetwide WiFi, power outlets and touch-screen seatback entertainment available for every guest on every flight. In addition to a Main Cabin that offers custom-designed leather seating with a deeper, more comfortable pitch, the airline’s exclusive eight-seat First Class cabin features plush white leather seating with 55 inches of pitch, 165 degrees of recline and lumbar massagers. The carrier’s Main Cabin Select option offers 38-inches of pitch, food and cocktails, an all-access pass to media content, dedicated overhead bins and priority check-in/boarding.
