By facilitating access to its rapidly expanding network of over 800 clinics across 5 continents worldwide, thousands of dialysis patients represented by the organisation will be able to travel with confidence, knowing their access to life-sustaining renal care is ensured.
Bookdialysis.com, leading online booking engine for holiday dialysis patients, announce that it has signed an agreement with the European Kidney Patient Federation (EKPF).
The EKPF is the umbrella organisation for 23 national kidney patients’ associations across Europe. The foundation of its activities is the health and well-being of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and their carers, an essential element of which is fulfilling unmet needs such as freedom of movement.
As a result of this agreement, bookdialysis.com is now poised to become a major partner in enabling EKPF to meet this need. By facilitating access to its rapidly expanding network of over 800 clinics across 5 continents worldwide, thousands of dialysis patients represented by the organisation will be able to travel with confidence, knowing their access to life-sustaining renal care is ensured.
Daniel Gallego, EKPF’s President, expanded on the importance of the agreement: “Mobility and freedom of movement are fundamental human rights. This is especially the case for chronic kidney disease patients, for whom travel can be a much-needed respite from the pressures that come with navigating a complex disease. That is why I am delighted that the EKPF will be working closely with bookdialysis.com, to make it easier than ever for our members to travel freely, whether for leisure, visiting loved ones or for work”.
Aris Bailan, Managing Director of bookdialysis.com, added: “Our organisation has seen some amazing achievements since we launched in 2017, and our agreement with EKPF is a particularly significant milestone. We are thrilled to have this level of trust placed in our team and the work we do. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this collaboration”.
