With the publication and release of the 2002 Sourcebook, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) provides meeting planners with an annual comprehensive guide and reference tool, featuring articles on all aspects of planning, up-to-date listings of hotels, convention centers, and other meeting facilities and services.

Designed to assist meeting planners all year-long, the 2002 Sourcebook became available on December 9, 2002 and is free of charge to any registrant from the 2002 HSMAI Affordable Meetings.

The Sourcebook is a complete step-by-step reference guide that assists with all aspects of event planning, said Ilsa Whittemore, associate executive director, HSMAI. All year-round, meeting planners can use this tool to help make events a success.

Features of the Sourcebook include tips on crisis management, contract negotiations, site selection, security and determining budget costs. The book also features a comprehensive resource listing, categorized by state, of contact information for properties and convention and visitors bureaus.

HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings is owned and presented by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International and managed by George Little Management, LLC (GLM).
