In a glamorous event, which took place in hotel Athenaeum Intercontinental, Alitalia expressed its appreciation to all Greek travel agents and awarded the most productive travel agents and collaborators.
Mr. Alessandro Amadeo, the company/s General Manager for Greece and Cyprus, briefed to the guests the company/s outstanding sales performance and complimented on the enthusiastic contribution of all Alitalia staff at the town offices and the airport, as well as the excellent co-operation with travel agents, to achieve this result. Special thanks were also attributed to Mr. Giuseppe Mondelli, Managing Director and Vice-president for South East Europe, Africa and Middle East for his precious support.
Moreover, to enhance the company/s growth in the area investment plans were introduced, which will increase the number of scheduled flights departing from Greece, starting from April 2003 with a fourth daily flight to both Milan and Rome.
Overall, 23 awards were received from the following travel agencies:

Business travel, Nina tours (Top Agents Award).
In addition, honorary awards were given to the trade unions of PE.TA.GA, HATTA and the Union of Travel Agents of Macedonia-Thrace on behalf of all its members.
During the event, more than 400 guests had the opportunity to enjoy themselves with a multicultural musical background, performed by an arch quintet and animated by a Greek band, the band Freedom of Syrian-origin and a ballet.
