Further to an official request from Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) asking that implementation of Resolution 800f imposing new financial requirements to agencies be postponed, members of the IATA APJC Committee, have accepted to delay implementation until June 30, 2007.
ACTA believes this delay should be sufficient to work out solutions that will not penalize travel agencies and create an unjustified and onerous burden for them.
“This is an important step and we would like to ensure travel agencies that we are taking this issue very seriously and have already started to work with IATA in order to find solutions” commented Christiane Theberge at ACTA.
