To celebrate Malta’s EU accession, the Malta Tourism Authority’s Milan office in collaboration with Malta Entreprise, Bank of Valletta and Air Malta organised an exhibition featuring local artists and entitled ‘A leap into the origins of Europe: Malta meets Milan’ (Un salto nelle origini dell’Europa: Malta incontra Milano) at Palazzo Affari ai Giureconsulti in Piazza Duomo, Milan.
The exhibition featured painter Luciano Micallef, sculptor Joe Xuereb and photographer Daniel Cilia, and was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Malta to Italy His Excellency Mr Edward Melillo and MTA Regional Director Mr Dominic Micallef.
During the press conference which preceded the inauguration a global perspective on the opportunities which Malta can offer in terms of tourism, economy and investment was presented to those who attended the event.
