China Southern marked another year of flight safety

China Southern Airlines, the newest member of SkyTeam and the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China is pleased to announce the safe flight operations of 2009, as the last flight in 2009 CZ 3114 from Beijing touched down at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport smoothly.

In the year 2009, China Southern has manifested its leadership in national civil aviation industry for its superb safety record. So far, the company has recorded 187 consecutive months for safe flight operations, accumulated 6.52 million hours safely flown, which granted it the best flight-safety record keeper among the carriers in mainland China.

China Southern reached a passenger traffic volume of 66 million in 2009, leading in the domestic industry for 31 years successively, as the only carrier in mainland China entering into the world’s Top 10 passenger airlines – based on annual passenger traffic volume.

The newest member of SkyTeam and the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China for the past 30 years, China Southern Airlines connects more than 80 cities around the globe.
