All-new Residence Inn Shreveport-Bossier City set to debut deluxe accommodations on Nov. 19

Hotel near downtown Shreveport will offer spacious suites, free breakfast buffet for comfortable extended stays in Northern Louisiana.

BOSSIER CITY, LA. – Offering a fresh take on Northwest Louisiana hotel stays, Residence Inn Shreveport-Bossier City/Downtown is scheduled to make its debut Nov. 19, 2015, just in time for the holiday season.

Exceeding Marriott‘s high standards for quality and affordable accommodations, the new Bossier City extended-stay hotel boasts 131 spacious suites with stylish decor and high-tech amenities geared to today’s demanding traveler. Guests will enjoy sleek furniture in separate areas to live, work, dine and dream in comfort. From whipping up a snack in their fully equipped kitchen and working at large desks with ergonomic chairs to curling up on a comfortable sectional while staying connected with complimentary wireless Internet access, guests are invited to make themselves right at home. Pets are also welcome.

Located near the shores of the Red River dividing Shreveport and Bossier City, the hotel is conveniently positioned off of Interstate 20 and places visitors just minutes from each city’s thriving downtown areas with a variety of local attractions and businesses. Within walking distance of the hotel are some of the region’s hottest destinations including the lively Horseshoe Casino and Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, which offers dozens of shops, restaurants and entertainment options. The new Residence Inn offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV) and Shreveport Downtown Airport (DTN).

The hotel will pride itself on serving a hot, fresh and free breakfast buffet daily in the state-of-the-art lobby with plenty of seating for impromptu gatherings. Free Wi-Fi is also available. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, guests are invited to The Residence Inn Mix, a social event featuring local cuisine and free snacks as well as craft beer and wine. Opening under the leadership of veterans in the hospitality industry, the hotel will be led by General Manager Gary Theus, Assistant General Manager Tamika Miles and Director of Sales Jennifer Boone. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge with a degree in hospitality management, Theus was most recently general manager of Hampton Inn Shreveport-Bossier City where Miles served alongside him. There he was awarded General Manager of the Year by his management company before accepting his current position at Residence Inn. Boone’s past hospitality work spans from Boston, MA to Napa Valley Wine Country, and she previously served as director of sales for Hilton’s Homewood Suites brand.

Also, the 128-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Spring, Texas is scheduled to open on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Located at 22814 Holzwarth Road, the all-suite Residence Inn Houston Springwoods Village will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by InterMountain Management, LLC of Monroe, Louisiana.

The hotel is located in the new iconic community of Springwoods Village, a 2,000-acre planned community situated just south of The Woodlands and 20 miles north of downtown Houston. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is only 19 miles away. CityPlace, an area within Springwoods Village, is a 60-acre urban district that offers an intelligently planned, sustainable and compelling vision of what a modern mixed-use development can be. They will be featuring luxury residential homes, four million square feet of commercial office space, and an appealing mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Springwoods Village will be a community where work, family and nature exist in harmony and where ecology and development are carefully balanced.

The Residence Inn Houston Springwoods Village is an all-suite hotel that offers studio and one-bedroom suites. They have evolved the guest suite by improving the size and layout of the bathroom and re-orienting the living and working spaces. There are separate zones for relaxing, working, sleeping and bathing. Guests looking for a revitalizing sleep experience will enjoy the hotel’s plush mattresses and crisp linens, while guests focused on being productive will value their suite’s large, well-lit work desk, ergonomic chair and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Designed for stays of five nights or more, each suite also has a fully-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, coffeemaker and microwave oven.

Guests can start their day off right with healthy food choices to make sure they do not miss the most important meal of the day. The Residence Inn Houston Springwoods Village offers a complimentary breakfast with a variety of options, including specially items made daily. The hotel participates in the brand’s new Residence Inn MIXO social experience: Monday nights guests can enjoy snacks, sips and good conversation in the lobby, Tuesday nights guests can enjoy the “Grill and Chill” with cold beverages around the fire pit, and Wednesday nights we will rotate our our “Taste of a Local Flavor” through the Food Truck Fare, Taste of a Local Restaurant, or Sweet Finale to Your Day. The hotel also maintains a business library where guests can fax, copy, print materials, and provides guests with a meeting room, an outdoor swimming pool, exercise room and Sport Court.
