Best Western International joins SAS Group as global partner

Best Western International announced today that it will become a global hotel partner of the SAS Group

Best Western International announced today that it will become a global hotel partner of the SAS Group’s frequent flyer program, EuroBonus, beginning Tuesday, February 1, 2005.

SAS members offering EuroBonus – voted 2003’s best international frequent flyer program – include Scandinavian Airlines Sweden, Scandinavian Airlines Denmark, Braathens, Scandinavian Airlines International, Wideroe and Blue1. EuroBonus members will be able to earn points and redeem stays at the more than 4,100 Best Western hotels worldwide, including approximately 100 properties located within Nordic countries.

“As the world’s largest hotel chain, Best Western is host to more than 300,000 guests every day,” said David Kong, Best Western president and CEO. “We are proud to join the SAS Group as a EuroBonus partner, providing its members with a distinctive choice in hotel accommodations, wherever their travels may take them.”

Added Vice President for EuroBonus Filip Francke, EuroBonus distinguishes itself from other frequent flyer programs by offering a leading hotel reward offer. In adding a global three- and four-star hotel partner to the already existing four- and five-star hotels in the program, our members will have a much wider range of hotels from which to choose. Recent member research shows an increasing demand for hotel rewards. By adding Best Western, we are responding to this demand.
