Coury Hospitality appoints General Manager and Director of Sales for Hotel Carmichael

Jamie Hopwood brings 25 years of hospitality experience to his new role as opening general manager of the immersive boutique hotel.

CARMEL IN –  Coury Hospitality announces the appointment of Jamie Hopwood as general manager and Zach Tharp as director of sales for the soon-to-open Hotel Carmichael, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in Carmel, Indiana. The 122-room hotel located at One Carmichael Square is owned by CCC Boutique Hotel, LLC and managed by Coury Hospitality of Kansas City, Missouri.

Jamie Hopwood brings 25 years of hospitality experience to his new role as opening general manager of the immersive boutique hotel. Previously, Hopwood was general manager of high-end boutique hotels in Beaver Creek, Colorado for RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging. In addition to his general manager roles, Hopwood has been vice-president of operations for Arbor Lodging and has spent 10 years with White Lodging and seven years with Marriott International. As an eight-year resident of Carmel, Indiana, he is excited to be involved in this inspiring project that will create an exciting crossroad of community and culture.

Zach Tharp brings 25 years of hotel sales experience, previously as opening director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Downtown Indianapolis. He also brings experience as regional director of sales for Crestline Hotels, vice-president of sales for Arbor Lodging and area director of sales for Pillar Hotels. Tharp is thrilled about the opportunity to manage the entire sales effort for such a unique and special property that ties music and storytelling together.
