IQUITOS – Eywa Lodge Amazonas has opened its doors in the heart of the rainforest, near the city of Iquitos, next to the majestic source of the Amazon River. This innovative project is the result of the entrepreneurial spirit of three young Spaniards who were captivated by the grandeur of the Peruvian Amazon.

With a strategic location next to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Eywa Lodge Amazonas offers an immersive experience in the Amazon rainforest. The hotel is well connected through the Iquitos airport, where the Eywa Lodge team awaits to take you to the accommodation in the heart of the jungle.

An authentic experience in the jungle

Its local and sustainable approach promises a unique experience if you seek to immerse yourself in the untouched nature of the Amazon rainforest in an authentic way. Furthermore, through solidarity initiatives and support projects, the hotel aims to improve the quality of life of local communities and contribute to their development.

Eywa Lodge guarantees an unforgettable stay: jungle excursions to discover monkeys and sloths, boat trips to spot dolphins, nighttime adventures under the starry sky of the Amazon… The hotel offers a wide range of activities to satisfy nature lovers and adventurous travelers.

Three friends in the jungle and an entrepreneurial dream

Álvaro López, Jara Velilla, and Alejandro Aguiar, three young Spaniards who emigrated to Germany, traveled to the area in 2021 and were impressed by the majesty of the jungle and the sense of disconnection they experienced. Upon realizing the limited resources available to local communities for sustenance and ecosystem protection, they decided to embark on this project.

Every detail has been carefully designed to minimize environmental impact and maximize the well-being of guests, thus creating a harmonious balance between comfort and sustainability.

In the words of the founding partners: “The experience in the jungle left us speechless, but not the quality and sustainability standards of the places where we stayed, so we set out to do it better. That’s how this beautiful project emerged, with its social and environmental components.”
