Fairfield Inn & Suites hotel opens in Alexandria, Virginia

The former Comfort Inn receives a complete top to bottom renovation.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The 147-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Alexandria, Virginia is now open with its smart, inventive public space and guest room design, and its bright and inviting decor. Located at 6254 Duke Street, the former Comfort Inn Alexandria West – Landmark will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Baywood Hotels of Greenbelt, Maryland. The property has gone through extensive renovations to all guest rooms, bathrooms, as well as public spaces.

Located nine miles from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., the Fairfield Inn & Suites Alexandria/Landmark offers guests convenient access to Old Town Alexandria, the Springfield Town Center, Arlington Cemetery, the George Washington Masonic National Memorial and The Birchmere.

Once inside, guests experience the hotel’s open public space featuring natural light and views throughout the lobby to connect the indoors with the outdoors. In the newly refreshed stylish lobby area, guests can choose to be productive, relax or enjoy breakfast or a snack in a modern and flexible environment featuring modern furniture as well as a decorative fireplace. Guests can also unwind in the lobby’s inviting living area or they can grab a drink or snack item from the 24/7 Corner Market.

The completely renovated room warmly welcomes guests into a comfortable, productive and restful environment. Flexible and functional, the guest room includes a well-designed work area, an ergonomic chair, task lighting and electrical outlets where guests need them. A curved, mobile desk enables guests to create their own work space, while also optimizing their television viewing. The guest bathrooms have also been completely remodeled with new vanities, sinks, showers and bathtubs. The new upgrades add to the overall appeal to the room and enhance the guest experience.

Additional hotel amenities include a complimentary breakfast at IHOP, a newly transformed fitness center, a complimentary shuttle to the Van Dorn Metro Station, valet laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as fax and copy services.
