InterContinental Hotels Group announced that the new 73-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Bowling Green, recently opened, representing another addition to the mid-scale brand`s portfolio of limited-service hotels.
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Bowling Green is owned by Bowling Green Enterprises Ltd. and managed by S&S Management Inc., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
“Holiday Inn Express hotels are designed to be the smart choice for value-conscious business and leisure travelers,” said Jenifer Zeigler, senior vice president, Brand Management, Holiday Inn Express. “Development of our first hotel in Bowling Green is important in expanding our Holiday Inn Express consumer base and establishing a strong presence in prime business and tourist locations.”
Situated off I-75 just twenty miles south of Toledo, Ohio, the new 43,000 square-foot hotel boasts all new cherry wood décor throughout the lobby and guestrooms. The property is within minutes of Bowling Green University and located across the street from a new Meijer supercenter.
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Bowling Green offers a variety of amenities such as high-speed internet access, an indoor pool, fitness center, same day laundry and valet and complimentary parking. The hotel also offers 1,200-sq.-ft. of meeting space. Environmentally conscious, the new hotel participates in the conserving linens program.
“More than $4 million has been invested to build this property and we are thrilled with the end result,” said Doug Deitz, general manager. “Bowling Green is a well-traveled market for tourism and a perfect fit for the Holiday Inn Express product.”
