According to a survey of pre-registrants attending the 15th annual Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) Affordable Meetings® National show, 59 percent of respondents anticipate planning more meetings in 2005 with a majority of those respondents anticipating planning one – nine more meetings.
The HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings® National show will take place Sept. 8 – 9, 2004 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Attendance to this exceptional educational conference and exposition is free-of-charge for qualified meeting planners. Booth space is still available.
“The results of our survey reflect the tremendous value of exhibiting at HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings® National,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “Meeting and event planners attending our show conduct a high volume of business with more expected in the future, plus they consider the trade expo an excellent resource for material on new facilities and services,” Gilbert added.
Perhaps even more significant, the survey revealed that 65 percent of all HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings® National attendees are looking for new facilities, products or services.
The survey also revealed that HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings® National was the top show at which they conducted business.
The survey was sent to 1,277 planners registered for HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings® National. A total of 510 completed the survey (a 40 percent response rate) with most planners from association, corporate and independent sectors.
