Hostaway provides one-stop global solution for thriving short-term rentals market

Short-term rental management startup Hostaway raises funding to streamline the competitive market with a simple and scalable solution.

HELSINKI, FINLAND – Hostaway, the short-term vacation rental management startup and premier partner of Booking.com, has raised 700,000 euros in funding to help professional property managers save time and money by consolidating their apartments across every rental channel with the only unified dashboard available today.

Despite the recent expansion of Airbnb, professional property managers are now facing increased competition and too few bookings for their apartments. Over 15,000 boutique hotels advertised rooms on Airbnb alone in 2017 in pursuit to dominate the market.

Adding properties to other platforms such as Booking.com, HomeAway, and Expedia means property managers can compete with hotels and other market players, but it can be especially tricky to manage every platform. Hostaway gives property managers all the tools they need to grow their business with many short-term rental providers in a single place.

Hostaway is the first channel manager which utilizes a real-time integration of Airbnb and Booking.com listings for property managers.

“Our software is built together with our clients for our clients who want to manage their daily activities easily and with zero hassle. We have a solid software that gives hosts full control over pricing and booking schedules. Managers can also message guests on any platform directly through Hostaway,” says Marcus Rader, CEO and co-founder of Hostaway.

Hostaway also enables short-term rental platforms to gain traction in markets where competitors have a larger presence. “Airbnb and HomeAway dominate the U.S market, yet Booking.com dominates European markets. By diversifying across multiple rental channels, property managers enjoy more bookings, and short-term rental platforms also enjoy growth in their weaker markets,” continues Rader.

Hostaway uses Beyond Pricing as an integration partner in their tool to ensure that property managers maximize both revenue and occupancy. “Hostaway is able to accurately and seamlessly take the prices we send to their system and distribute them to Airbnb, Booking.com, and beyond. Hostaway has developed one of the most reliable services in the industry,” says Ian McHenry, CEO and co-founder of Beyond Pricing.

Hostaway has raised a total of 1.16m. euros in funding from angel investors and Business Finland, the Finnish accelerator of global growth. The company has offices in Helsinki, Toronto, and Barcelona.
