Jonathan Chaplowe is the new Director of Human Resources for the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center

Prior to joining the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, Jonathan Chaplowe held the position of director of people and culture for The Joule Hotel and the Lumen Hotel, both of Dallas.

THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS – Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has named Jonathan Chaplowe director of human resources for the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, currently under construction in College Station, Texas. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotelsproperty is expected to open in August. Greg Stafford, general manager, made the announcement.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Jonathan to our pre-opening team,” said Mr. Stafford. “Not only is he highly qualified and intimately familiar with our market, he is a leader in community outreach which will be important for our entire employee team. Jonathan is a wonderful addition to our executive committee.”

Prior to joining the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, Jonathan Chaplowe held the position of director of people and culture for The Joule Hotel and the Lumen Hotel, both of Dallas. Previous to this he invested 26 years of his career with Hyatt, most recently serving as director of human resources for the Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport Hotel. While with Hyatt he also held human resource leadership positions for properties located in Greenwich, Connecticut; Bethesda, Maryland; New Brunswick, New Jersey and the Grand Cayman Islands in the Caribbean.

Mr. Chaplowe was previously an active member of Travelers Aid International, where he was vice president of programs. He has served as Affirmative Action Administrator for Hyatt Regency DFW. Chaplowe regularly participates in community initiatives generating awareness and resources for the March of Dimes, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Walk, Make A Wish, Easter Seals and Habitat for Humanity. He is a graduate of Allegheny College. Mr. Chaplowe is relocating to College Station with his family.
