Kamili appoints Independent Public Relations

Kamili, with its portfolio of over 40 independent lodges, camps and operators across East and Southern Africa, has appointed Independent Public Relations (IPR) to drive a PR campaign from September 2009.

Established by Tim Henshall in 2006, UK based Kamili represents a portfolio of hand-picked, independent African camps and lodges with a focus on quality and value for money. Mostly owner managed and run, the camps are small and intimate, offering high standards of service and outstanding safari experiences.

The Independent Public Relations (IPR) campaign will be headed by Samantha Kirton. Having previously worked with luxury African safari camps as well as directly with the consumer as a safari consultant, Samantha brings an intimate knowledge of the Africa travel industry.

According to Tim, now is the ideal time to launch a dedicated PR campaign: “Our partner properties are committed to delivering sensibly priced safaris,” he says. “Our top end of mid-market portfolio is proving increasingly popular in the UK in the current climate and now is an excellent time to make more people aware of affordable African options.”

“We have a number of exciting new properties that we’re keen to promote,” he adds.
