U Hotels & Resorts makes Istanbul debut

The hotel will consist of 40 rooms and suites in a 4-storey building.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Absolute Hotel Services Group CEO Jonathan Wigley is delighted to announce its new expansion into Europe with U Istanbul. The hotel will consist of 40 rooms and suites in a 4-storey building. Other facilities include a specialty Thai restaurant with terrace and retail bar, a library, a spa with three treatment rooms and a gym plus U’s unique service program.  U Istanbul is set to open in early 2016.

Located in the Sultanahmet area within close walking distance to many of Istanbul’s most popular historical attractions, the overall design concept has been influenced by an Ottoman revivalist theme, which will be applied throughout the hotel’s facilities. The signature Thai restaurant with cooking school and retail element will attract many local and international guests due to its location, design and authentic food.

Guests can enjoy and experience the U’s unique concept of service including the 24 hour room which will allow guests to enjoy their room for 24 hours from check in as well as breakfast whenever/wherever during the stay, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, international and local calls at cost, pre-select amenities such as pillow, tea and soap that guests can select from our online U Choose programme and more.

Jonathan Wigley said “We are thrilled to introduce U Hotels & Resorts brand with its unique service offerings to Istanbul, one of the world’s great cities. This is not just our first property in Europe, but also gives us the opportunity to create and offer a new and iconic destination for our U’s guests who seek stylish and yet approachable service.”
