Visit Natchez unveils new branding and website

Visit Natchez’s new logo includes various nods to the town’s culture, history and future within the design.

NATCHEZ, MISS. – Visit Natchez has officially announced the launch of its new branding, including a logo, tagline and website, all featuring the tagline “Experience Elevated.” This news was announced to the public during a local press event on January 30 at The Grand Hotel.

The destination marketing organization’s goal throughout the brand development with marketing agency, Stamp, was to fully encompass all that Natchez has to offer and demonstrate that there is more to the town than one would expect. The brand positively represents Natchez as an elevated destination that not only has historic significance but is also progressive, warm, unified and hospitable.

“We are excited to kick off the new year with new branding and a website design that we hope will resonate with travelers and encourage them to visit Natchez,” said Devin Heath, executive director of Visit Natchez. “Whether you’re a food lover, history buff in search of cultural stories or nature explorer, Natchez is home to several signature experiences that you can’t find anywhere else in the world, and we feel that this new brand illustrates our ability to connect with the interests of today’s travelers.”

Visit Natchez’s new logo includes various nods to the town’s culture, history and future within the design. The “Visit” portion of the logo delivers a modern feel through its use of warm colors and unified connected lettering. The flowing ligatures are meant to pay homage to the Mississippi River, while the flowing stroke of the “N” between two columns represents the progression of Natchez’s history and its future.

“Experience Elevated” was chosen as Visit Natchez’s new tagline to provide an appropriate expectation of what awaits in Natchez. The tagline is meant to speak to the experiences and sites that await visitors such as the town’s grand historic homes and structures, its annual hot air balloon festival, the city’s 200-foot elevation over the Mississippi River and the airport that could soon provide commercial service.

As part of this new branding, Visit Natchez has also unveiled a new website that is now live and features more robust imagery, narratives with more user-friendly navigation, a page dedicated to the city’s cultural heritage and more.
