As Hotel Manager, Cristina Mata will continue to lead with excellence, promoting and enhancing the high standards of luxury associated with the Savoy Signature brand.

MADEIRA ISLAND, PORTUGAL – The latest addition to the Savoy Signature collection, The Reserve, will be led by Cristina Mata, who has just assumed the role of Hotel Manager. Mata will be responsible for managing the operation of the new boutique hotel with the goal of maximizing revenue, profitability, and, above all, customer satisfaction; implementing processes that promote customer loyalty; managing team training; and planning the budget and financial plan for The Reserve.

With a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the Institute of New Professions, Mata worked at the Pestana Palace Hotel in Lisbon and the former Casino Park Hotel. Mata started her role at Savoy Signature in 2018 and was one of the first employees of Savoy Palace when it opened in 2019, holding the position of Front Office Manager, responsible for team building and training, implementation of SOP, and work methods.

“This is a unique opportunity that I accepted without hesitation. I intend to contribute to ensuring that the entire operation of this new Savoy Signature property achieves the best results. I am committed to providing guests with a service of the highest standards of sophistication and establishing The Reserve as the epitome of excellent service and personalized experience for each guest. Our team’s goal is to create indelible memories that invite travelers to reimagine their hotel experience,” adds Cristina Mata.

The Reserve opened its doors on December 1, 2023 in a soft opening, and the official opening is scheduled for January 15, 2024.
