70th IATA AGM in Qatar to attract more than 1,000 delegates

Qatar Airways to host international three-day event; Local sponsors include Ooredoo and Alfardan Automobiles.

DOHA, QATAR – Final preparations are well under way to welcome more than 1,000 delegates to one of the aviation world’s most significant events – the 70th International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit.

The three-day IATA event taking place in the Qatari capital Doha between June 1–3, will focus on key themes of airline industry reputation, the global aviation skills supply and aircraft noise developments.

Qatar Airways, the country’s national airline, is an IATA member and event host, while other local sponsors include Ooredoo and Alfardan Automobiles.

Qatar Airways will be flying many senior airline executives including more than 200 international media to this important event in the aviation industry’s calender.

Ooredoo will participate as the events Official Telecom partner by providing state-of-the-art laptops at the media centre, LCD television screens to be used at the conference, as well as Hala SIM cards and superfast 4G internet upgrades for the delegates.

Alfardan Automobiles will be the Official VIP Transport partner providing guests with transportation for the entire duration of the event.
