airBaltic – Flight tickets going mobile

The mobile bookings represent 4,9% of all online bookings during 2015, compared to just 2,4% in 2014.

RIGA – The Latvian airline airBaltic has doubled mobile bookings during year 2015 compared to a year earlier for flights linking the Baltic region with Europe, Scandinavia, CIS and the Middle East. The mobile bookings represent 4,9% of all online bookings during 2015, compared to just 2,4% in 2014.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “Innovation and product improvement is in our focus. Our new, smartphone friendly website has helped us to improve the user experience for our customers, and now the share of mobile bookings has doubled. We are delighted that our customers have responded positively by booking more tickets with us.”

As previously announced, airBaltic has achieved +16% increase of future bookings for 2016 compared to the same period a year earlier. airBaltic offers the best connectivity into and out of the Baltic capitals, as the carrier serves a combination of direct flights and convenient transfers via airBaltic’s main hub in Riga to Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East and the CIS. airBaltic recently announced two new routes: Reykjavik – Riga, and Tallinn – Vilnius for the upcoming summer season.
