Britons reject UK Border Agency’s plans to fast-track Business-Class travellers

In a TripAdvisor poll of over 8,000 British travellers, almost two-thirds (64%) of respondents said that they would not be happy to see the plans put into place, while 36% revealed that they would be happy the move.

Following last week’s news that the UK Border Agency is considering plans to fast-track business-class travellers through passport control at UK airports, TripAdvisor can reveal that the majority of British travellers are not in support of the proposed move.

In a TripAdvisor poll of over 8,000 British travellers, almost two-thirds (64%) of respondents said that they would not be happy to see the plans put into place, while 36% revealed that they would be happy the move.

“Those that experienced long delays at passport control at British airports this summer are likely to welcome any initiatives to ease congestion, but it seems the majority of British travellers would not be in favour of fast-tracking business-class travellers. But for the 36% of British travellers who view the UK Border Agency’s proposal as a positive move this change would be welcomed,” commented TripAdvisor spokesperson, Emma Shaw.

Survey carried out on 8,796 British Travellers, between 25 September – 02 October 2012.
